Inequality and the American Dream @ Burr and Burton Academy, Hunter Seminar Room

Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) welcomes Matt Lawrence, Assistant Professor of Sociology at Middlebury College, to talk about income inequality in the United States. This talk will consider how recent trends in economic inequality shape our local, state, and national communities today. We will discuss how inequalities in income and wealth shape the prospects for upward mobility for future generations. And we will examine whether improving education can still reduce inequality and its consequences. Registration is $15 in advance or $20 at the door. For more information or to register, please call 802-867-0111 or visit www.greenmtnacademy.org.
