SUMMARY:GMALL Presents – New England Modernism: Revolutionary Architecture in the 20th Century
DESCRIPTION:GMALL Presents – New England Modernism: Revolutionary Architecture in the 20th Century\nFriday\, June 12 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Burr & Burton Academy\, Riley Center for the Arts\n\n\nGreen Mountain Academy is excited to bring the film screening of “New England Modernism: Revolutionary Architecture in the 20th Century” to Manchester. This documentary traces the origins of the modern movement in one of America’s most tradition-bound regions\, uncovering the bold experiments that still stand today. From celebrated masters to overlooked local pioneers\, the film profiles the architects who dared to reimagine how New Englanders lived — balancing the region’s deep conservatism with a restless progressive spirit and wrestling with its demanding climate and centuries-old building culture. What emerged was something extraordinary: a postwar design renaissance that produced landmark works at the domestic scale and beyond\, transforming New England into one of the world’s great destinations for modern architecture. Filmmakers Jake Gorst and Tracey Rennie Gorst will introduce the film. Tickets are $20 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets\, please call our office at 802-867-0111 or visit greenmtnacademy.org.

SUMMARY:Dorset Farmer's Market!
DESCRIPTION:Every Sunday from 10am-2pm.\nThis time of year the market is outside – across the street from HN Williams!\nAt the Dorset Farmers Market\, everything you see comes directly from the people who grew it\, raised it\, made it\, or baked it. We’re proud to be a producer-only market\, which means every vendor is directly involved in the creation of what they sell. No resellers\, no middlemen. Just real people offering what they make themselves. \nThis model keeps our market personal and authentic. It builds trust\, supports local livelihoods\, and gives you the chance to truly know where your food and goods come from\, and who made them. \nAlso\, this model isn’t just about transparency\, it’s about community impact. When you shop here\, your dollars stay local\, supporting the farmers\, food producers\, and artisans who live and work right here in our community. That means stronger small businesses\, more resilient local food systems\, and a vibrant local economy. \nIt’s a more sustainable way to shop\, one that supports the land\, the local economy\, and meaningful connections.

SUMMARY:GMALL Presents – Green Mountain Modern: Architecture of the 1930s to 1970s in Vermont
DESCRIPTION:GMALL Presents – Green Mountain Modern: Architecture of the 1930s to 1970s in Vermont\nThursday\, June 18 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Burr & Burton Academy\, Bell Tower Room\n\n\nGreen Mountain Academy welcomes Devin Colman\, the Director of the UVM Historic Preservation Graduate Program\, to talk about modern architecture in the Green Mountain State. Vermont holds a special place in our minds as a 19th century time capsule\, where quaint villages and picturesque farmsteads exist in a land that time forgot. But Vermont also boasts a significant body of 20th century architectural heritage\, and this talk will explore the innovative building forms\, materials\, and concepts behind notable examples of Mid-Century Modern architecture throughout the state. Registration for the talk is $20 per person. For more information or to register\, please call our office at 802-867-0111 or visit greenmtnacademy.org.

SUMMARY:The Dorset Theater Festival Presents: DECEIVED
DESCRIPTION:DECEIVED \nJUNE 19 – JULY 4 \n\n\n\n\nA GRIPPING ADAPTATION OF THE 1938 THRILLER “GASLIGHT” BY PATRICK HAMILTON \nBy Johnna Wright & Patty Jamieson\nDirected by Jackson Gay \n\n\n\nABOUT THE PLAY\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBefore “gaslighting” was a term\, it was a weapon. \nIn fog-bound 1901 London\, a young bride begins to notice unsettling changes in her home: dimming lights\, footsteps overhead\, whispers in empty rooms. Her charming husband insists it’s all in her imagination. But as the strange incidents escalate\, so does her dread. Is she losing her mind — or is someone carefully\, deliberately unraveling it? \nTrapped in a house filled with secrets and suspicion\, she must cling to her sanity and uncover the truth before it’s too late. If no one is coming to save her… will she save herself? \nBased on Patrick Hamilton’s 1938 thriller that gave us the term gaslighting\, this gripping new adaptation by Johnna Wright and Patty Jamieson delivers pulse-pounding suspense\, shocking twists\, and a chilling reminder of how easily trust can turn deadly. \nYou’ll question everything — until the final\, breathtaking reveal. \nSchedule: \nFRIDAY\, JUNE 19 – 7:30 PM (PREVIEW)  \nSATURDAY\, JUNE 20 – 7:30 PM (OPENING NIGHT)  \nSUNDAY\, JUNE 21 – 2:00 PM \nWEDNESDAY\, JUNE 24 – 2:00 PM \nWEDNESDAY\, JUNE 24 – 7:30 PM \nTHURSDAY\, JUNE 25 – 7:30 PM \nFRIDAY\, JUNE 26 – 7:30 PM \nSATURDAY\, JUNE 27 – 2:00 PM \nSATURDAY\, JUNE 27 – 7:30 PM \nSUNDAY\, JUNE 28 – 2:00 PM \nWEDNESDAY\, JULY 1 – 2:00 PM \nWEDNESDAY\, JULY 1 – 7:30 PM \nTHURSDAY\, JULY 2 – 7:30 PM \nFRIDAY\, JULY 3 – 2:00 PM (MATINEE PERFORMANCE) \nSATURDAY\, JULY 4 – 2:00 PM (CLOSING) \nhttps://dorsettheatrefestival.org/deceived
