Climb to Glory: Honoring the Roots of American Skiing

On February 18, 2026, Bromley Mountain will welcome skiers and riders to take part in the Ninety-Pound Rucksack Challenge. The event pays tribute to the 10th Mountain Division, their historic climb of Riva Ridge during World War II, and the part they later played in shaping American skiing.

Event Details:

• Date: February 18, 2026, starting at 7 pm local time
• Location: Bromley Mountain
• Meet at: Large electronic trail map in base area
• Challenge: Participants will climb and descend a designated trail (TBA) to mark the route the 10th once faced. Optional weighted packs are available for those who want a closer sense of the loads carried in 1945.
• Who Can Join: Open to skiers, splitboarders, and uphill athletes of all ability levels.
• Tickets & Passes: A Bromley Uphill Pass, Ticket, or Uphill New England Pass is required.
• Bromley’s day-of event waiver is required.
