GMALL Presents: Nantucket Bracelet Weaving Workshop with Joan Blanchard

Learn to weave a classic Nantucket bracelet based on traditional weaving materials and methods used in making Nantucket Lightship Baskets. This calm and rewarding hobby will get you hooked into taking the skill to larger projects requiring molds. In this workshop you will craft one or two works of wearable art. Bracelets are available in three sizes: 1/4-inch, 1/2-inch, and 3/4-inch. Enrollment is limited.

Joan Blanchard, who resides in Manchester, Vermont and Scituate, Massachusetts, has had a love of traditional basket weaving for more than 25 years, the largest basket being a bassinet.
