Local architect and railway historian Bill Badger will present a talk on the history of marble transportation in Dorset and Danby. Discover how steep inclined railways helped conquer challenging mountain terrain, allowing massive blocks of marble to be safely transported to the valley floor, where they could be finished or shipped to processing plants.
