Come discover how conservation on Smokey House has created a “dark sky area” and why that’s important. For our last Explore Smokey House Center Workshop Series for the year we will be stargazing with members from the Green Mountain Astronomers. They will guide us through the night sky with their telescopes. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own. Dress warm as the temperatures can drop after the sun goes down. All ages welcome, warm drinks will be provided.
Explore Smokey House Center this summer with our free informational workshop series. With just under 5,000 acres of forest and farmland there is a lot to discover here from bird species, to mushrooms, to forest trails, wildlife and even the night sky.
