The Dorset Equine Rescue’s 10th Annual Barnyard Ball!

The Dorset Equine Rescue and Honorary Chairs Greg & Emily Dowd cordially invite you to attend the 10th annual Barnyard Ball fundraiser on Thursday, July 10th at The Old Gray Barn at 1582 Route 30, Rupert, beginning at 5:15 p.m. This year’s Barnyard Ball fundraiser will include a chance to meet some rescued equines, live music by local band the Happy Hour Trio, and a very special live auction with auctioneer Eric Nathan, featuring an equine bronze sculpture, ‘Cavallo Nero’ by award-winning and classically trained bronze sculptor and Vermont artist Elaine Franz Witten, and ‘Silent Grace’ a limited-edition photograph from the award-winning series Discovering the Horses of Sable Island by artist Drew Doggett. There will be dancing, dinner, a cash bar, and prizes for Best Dressed Western-style. Casual attire is welcome. This year’s Barnyard Ball fundraiser will officially kick off with an online auction launching in mid-June. All proceeds from this fundraiser will support The Dorset Equine Rescue and help us continue our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing abused, neglected and slaughter-bound horses.
